I used one of my free nights from Hotels.com to redeem a one-night stay at the JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur.
We arrived at the hotel around 6:30PM:
I provided my Marriott Rewards number during check-in to be entitled to Platinum Elite benefits. Requested for and was given a one-bedroom suite.
The friendly porter helped with our luggage as we made our way up:
The hotel is still undergoing renovations and half of the elevators were not in service. We had to wait a while before getting to our floor:
Living area of our suite (sofa bed for Daniel but he ended up sleeping on the couch as it was):
Should have taken the 500 Marriott Reward Points instead of these:
Very nice bed, had a great night's sleep:
JW Marriott KL Suite 2828 shower and toilet:
Went down with Daniel to check out the executive lounge located on Level 2 (or 3R if you're using the pre-renovation elevators):
Plenty of seating areas with different arrangements
The food and beverage offerings and the service from the staff were modest at best. Daniel seemed to enjoy their crabsticks while I had some juice and a glass of red wine before walking over to the Pavillion to have our dinner.
We decided to have breakfast at Shook the next morning for better variety. The offerings were similarly uninspiring. Nonetheless, I'm very happy with the Marriott-SPG merger and enjoying the additional hotel options available.
