I could not wait to leave the SilverKris Lounge to be honest. The noise and chatter was getting unbearable towards the end.
It was with great relief when time to board SQ 1 finally arrived and similarly when we settled into our Row 2 middle seats:
The menu for our flight:
Very nice amenity kits (pic taken post-flight):
It's nearly 2AM so perfect time to have supper. Started with the Malossol Caviar and Lobster Medallions followed by the curried English Pea soup:
My main was Jumbo Scallops which I BTC'd and the meal ended with a fantastic Vanilla Semifreddo with Rhubarb Compote:
Changed into our pyjamas while our seats were converted into bed mode:
The bed was good enough for me to sleep nearly 9 hours. Ordered some Egg Noodles with prawns upon waking up:
before bingeing on movies (Amy Adams was fantastic in Arrival, Ben Affleck was watchable in The Accountant).
Tempted to purchase:
but the flight attendant told me not to bother as the speed was just too slow. Watched some TV shows and listened to music on SQ's excellent IFE system instead:
more food because I get hungry when bored:
Before long it was time to freshen up as we were approaching HKG:
Landed 3o minutes ahead of schedule, went through the motions and found ourselves back in the SilverKris HKG First Class Lounge:
After a nice bowl of bee hoon with fresh cut chillies it was time to board SQ 1 again as we headed towards Singapore:
Our breakfast (I had BTC'd the chicken scallop porridge, it was very good):
Enjoyed more TV shows and reading my book on the comfortable seat :
before arriving in Singapore 20 minutes ahead.
Singapore Airlines is really a great way to fly. Now if only they can improve that lounge at SFO.
