Singapore Airlines First Class HKG-SFO

17 Mar 2017

We made the short trek from the SilverKris Lounge to Gate 18 at 11PM, around 40m before our scheduled departure.

Boarding was already well underway, we were the last two passengers in F to board and resumed our positions in the Row 1 pair of seats. Picture shows Row 2 middle pair:

There were six of us in First Class for the flight. We were happy Mr 1A-Colorful Socks from our SIN-HKG flight was no longer there.

Shortly after takeoff and a few glasses of Krug, it was time to eat again, starting with the scallops and caviar + a shot of vodka:

My bursting waistline caused me to come to my senses. Informed the FA to skip the soup dish and save my BTC lobster thermidor for later. Changed into pyjamas and came back to a wonderful sight:

SQ's 777-300 F seat in bed mode feels harder than Cathay Pacific's F: I prefer SQ's. Managed 6 hours of sleep and woke up feeling great.

Spent some time reading my new book before wasting 2 hours with Tom Hanks' Inferno (unbelievably poor). Contemplated paying for wifi but decided against it. All that made me hungry again and as luck would have it, breakfast service began shortly:

Very very nice chicken congee:

My BTC lobster which was saved from dinner (it tasted as bad as it looked):

It was soon time to change out of our pyjamas in preparation for landing:

Landed in SFO nearly an hour early. Immigration took a while but our baggage were among the first to be out:

Another wonderful flight with SQ, everything was spot on. We arrived well-rested and ahead of schedule. What more can you want?
