We departed Jasper around 8AM for a full-day sightseeing tour along the Icefields Parkway, one of the world's most scenic highways.
Made a stop at Athabasca Falls. Weather was chilly and slightly damp. It did not get better as the day went by.
The highlight of the day was a visit to the Columbia Icefield and an Ice Explorer ride.
The Ice Explorer is a 5km round-trip journey on the icy slopes of the Athabasca Glacier. The experience, while touristy, is worth it.
We made a stop at Peyto Lake despite the drizzling rain before making our way to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for our overnight stay.
